Jamie Webster – Headlining DonnyFest’26

Jamie Webster has become one of the most recognisable voices in modern British music. Since his first album We Get By landed in 2020, the Liverpool singer-songwriter has built a strong bond with fans across the country. His songs carry straight-talking stories that speak to everyday life, giving comfort and strength during hard times.

His rise came fast after his debut reached the top of the UK folk chart. Instead of slowing down, Jamie wrote Moments during lockdown, turning the chaos of those years into moving songs about escape, belief and the things people face day to day. Tracks like Weekend In Paradise have struck a chord far beyond his home city, hitting huge streaming numbers and becoming a working week anthem for thousands.

When live music returned, Jamie took his place on stages up and down the country, selling out venues from London to Glasgow. He speaks openly about how meeting the crowds gave him a stronger sense of purpose than any chart news. That connection has shaped every tour since.

Festival season soon followed, with a standout set on Glastonbury’s Leftfield stage after being invited by Billy Bragg. It was a huge moment for Jamie, who has long been a fan of the festival. The raw emotion of that set confirmed what many already knew: Jamie’s songs carry a rare mix of feeling, energy and honesty that hits hard in a live setting.

Even as his shows grow in size, Jamie stays grounded through his family, his friends and his work in his community. This down to earth mindset has helped him sell out major venues, including two nights at Glasgow’s Barrowlands and huge dates on Liverpool’s Pier Head.

His time at Rockfield Studios has pushed his sound further, blending his acoustic roots with bigger, fuller arrangements shaped by the artists he grew up listening to. His newer work looks ahead with strong messages, sharp writing and plenty of heart.

Jamie’s next chapter aims to lift people, bring them together and shine a light on the issues many face today. He writes for the everyday listener, and his music encourages strength, hope and a sense of looking out for each other.

DonnyFest is proud to welcome Jamie Webster, a true voice of the people and one of the most loved live acts in the country.
